I've always been an "active" person - I love being outdoors, I play tennis regularly and I love mountaineering.
But, if I'm totally honest, my real “fitness journey” started in early 2020 when a lower back injury left me barely able to walk or stand.
What began as a tingle in my hip turned into excruciating pain that limited my mobility. So much so that at one point, I was only able to walk a few feet without massive pain and I had to eat my meals lying on my stomach on the floor (no, seriously, you can ask my family!)
After trying various treatments - everything from physical therapy to a cortisone shot - I had an MRI performed and it became clear that I was a prime candidate for surgery. Knowing that “back” surgery was only about 60-70% successful, I found a doctor I trusted and operated on the disk between my L5 and S1 vertebra.
Thankfully, the surgery was successful, and I walked out of the hospital almost pain-free.
That experience sparked my commitment to physical health, ensuring I’d never face that situation again. Along the way I've also learned the incredible importance of mental health and I've integrated that into my practice.
Today, I’m dedicated to living a life that’s fit, fulfilling, and free—and I love helping others find the same joy in their own journey. My philosophy is simple: fitness should feel fun, manageable, or, ideally, a blend of both. This approach doesn’t mean there won’t be challenges; commitment and a bit of discipline are essential. But it does mean that staying fit doesn’t require hours at the gym, endless supplements, or overly complex routines.
Instead, fitness can be woven into daily life in ways that are accessible and enjoyable. It’s about finding small, sustainable practices that make you feel good—whether that’s through movement, nourishing food, or mental wellness. My focus is on consistency, finding balance, and embracing fitness as a natural part of a full, vibrant life. Staying healthy should feel empowering and uplifting, not overwhelming.
I hope you'll join me!
